MADISON, Wis. – This week, State Senator Brad Pfaff (D-Onalaska) was appointed to serve on the Mississippi River Parkway Commission by Governor Tony Evers. The Mississippi River Parkway Commission is a nonprofit organization founded to preserve and improve the natural resources, cultural heritage, economic viability, scenic quality, recreational amenities and other features significant to the Mississippi River Valley such as the Great River Road.

Following the appointment, Senator Pfaff issued the following statement:

“I’m proud to continue my work to strengthen and protect the beauty of the Driftless Region and Mississippi River Valley through this appointment. As a representative of the many communities and people along the Mississippi River, I can personally attest that the All-American Great River Road never disappoints, providing breathtaking views of the Mississippi on one side and awe-inspiring bluffs on the other.”
