Sparta man injured in rollover crash on State Hwy 27

Sparta, Wis. – Both State Highway 27 lanes were blocked just north of Dayton Ave. in the Township of Little Falls after a single vehicle crash Tuesday morning. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office at around 7:53 Tuesday morning, Mark P. Dunham of Sparta was traveling north on State Hwy 27 when he drove off of the shoulder, over corrected the vehicle, causing it to roll multiple times. The vehicle came to rest on the roof in both lanes of traffic.

According to the Sheriff’s report, Dunham did sustained injuries, but was able to crawl out of the vehicle himself. He was taken from the scene by an ambulance to a medical facility.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the crash and was assisted on scene by the Monroe County 911 Communications Center, Sparta Ambulance, Cataract First Responders, and Sparta Area Fire District.
