Soldiers Grove man arrested for lewd, lascivious behavior at Readstown convenience store

READSTOWN, Wis. – According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office 43-year-old Rick Lee Alexander was arrested after allegedly sexually harassing an employee at a Readstown convenience store on May 18.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s report states that Alexander was arrested early in the morning on
May 18, following an incident in the village of Readstown that occurred at
approximately 9:30 p.m. the previous day. According to the report Alexander initiated an unwanted conversation of a sexual nature with a 22-year-old female while she was
employed at a convenience store. The report goes on to say during the conversation,
Alexander displayed a photo on an electronic device of an external organ of the male
genitalia without her consent.

The cash bond was ordered during a Bail Hearing in Vernon County Circuit Court on May
20. The Vernon County District Attorney’s Office filed charges of:

  • Lewd, Lascivious Behavior-In Public, a Class A Misdemeanor
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Two counts of Felony Bail Jumping

Alexander appeared in Vernon County Circuit Court today, June 7, at 10:45 a.m., and
bail was reduced to $2,000 cash. At the time of this release, Alexander remains in
custody. He is due back in court on June 19, at 1:00 p.m.

Alexander has a previous conviction for third degree sexual assault in Crawford County from 2001. In that case he was sentenced to eight years – three years of confinement and five years extended supervision. According to court records Alexander was re-incarcerated in June of 2005 in that same case for two years. In 2008 his extended supervision was revoked and he was ordered serve an additional two years and 11 months.
