Local elections are coming up in April. Unless something changes it appears there will not be a need for a primary in February. Primaries are only required if more than two candidates are running for a seat and the field needs to get narrowed to two candidates. All 19 of the Vernon County Board of Supervisor seats are up for re-election again. Six of those districts will have contested races and five incumbents have decided to not run again.
Incumbent County Board Supervisors Kyle Semke (District 2), Mary Bringe (District 4), Rod Ofte (District 5) ,Gail Muller (District 17) and Kelli Mitchell (District 18) have all filed paperwork with the County Clerk stating they are not seeking re-election.
Here is a list of who will be on the ballot on April 2:

In District 6 – John Pedretti (incumbent) will run unopposed.
In District 7 – Mary Meehan-Strub (incumbent) and Nathan Slack will be on the ballot. Slack previously ran for that seat and narrowly lost to Lavon “Spanky” Felton.
