Single vehicle crash reported between Readstown and Viola

READSTOWN, Wis. – On Saturday night, September 21, 2024, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center was notified of a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 131, between the villages of Readstown and Viola, in the town of Kickapoo.

According to the Sheriff’s Office 16-year-old Cullen Jacobus of rural Soldiers Grove, Wis. was driving south and lost control on a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a fence. Several head of cattle were released, but quickly corralled.

No injuries were reported.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were the Viola Police Department, Readstown Ambulance, and The Readstown Fire Department.
