WESTBY, Wis. — Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred early Monday on Coon Prairie Road in rural Westby, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Roy Torgerson said the crash was reported to the 911 Dispatch Center at about 2 a.m. Dec. 22. A caller told dispatchers that a person was lying on the ground near a vehicle that had left the roadway in the Town of Viroqua.
The injured person was transported to Vernon Health by La Farge Area Ambulance. The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Westby Police Department, Viroqua Fire Department and Westby EMS.
The crash remains under investigation, and additional details are expected to be released sometime today.
