READSTOWN, Wis. — An evening of live music, local food, gardening inspiration, artisan shopping, and community gathering returns to Second Nature at Reads Creek this Thursday as the popular Third Thursday Market in the Garden welcomes visitors from across the Driftless Area.
Second Nature at Reads Creek invites the community to its next Third Thursday Market in the Garden on Thursday July 16, offering an evening of local food, live music, gardening inspiration, shopping, and hands-on experiences in one of the Driftless Area’s most beautiful garden settings.
The market opens at 5:00 p.m. and is free to attend.
Guests can browse the small Makers Market featuring local artists, growers, and small businesses while enjoying a variety of food trucks and the gardens at Second Nature.
At 5:30 p.m., visitors are invited to join a free Garden Inspiration Tour, where they’ll discover how evergreens can create beautiful, low-maintenance landscapes with year-round color, texture, and structure.
Beginning at 6:00 p.m., guests can enjoy live music by The Lovelys while learning something new during a free culinary presentation featuring Noble Rind Cheese and Latarnia Guest House. The presentation will showcase delicious ways to incorporate artisan cheeses into simple, seasonal entertaining.
For those looking for a creative evening, the creative Moon Garden Workshop begins at 7:00 p.m., offering participants the opportunity to learn how to design a garden that comes alive in the evening with plants chosen for their fragrance, texture, and light-reflecting beauty.
“Third Thursday has become much more than a market,” said Jen Tubbin of Second Nature at Reads Creek. “It’s an opportunity for neighbors to gather, support local businesses, enjoy live music, learn something new, and spend an evening outdoors together. We believe gardens inspire people—but experiences bring them back.”
Whether guests stay for an hour or the entire evening, organizers encourage everyone to bring a lawn chair, invite a friend, and enjoy a relaxing summer evening in the gardens.
