LONE ROCK, Wis. — A Richland County resident faces charges after authorities executed a search warrant at a home Wednesday regarding an internet crimes investigation.
Richland County Sheriff Clay Porter reported that the investigation stemmed from reports received regarding specific online activity. The sheriff said his office was assigned two CyberTips as an affiliated member of the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.
Deputies responded to the residence on Jan. 28 to execute the warrant. The operation took place at a home on South Chestnut Street in Lone Rock.
Authorities took Kaelin M. Lemay, 24, of Lone Rock, into custody as a result of the investigation. Porter indicated that Lemay faces a recommended charge of one count of exposing a child to harmful material.
The operation required coordination between several state and local law enforcement entities. The sheriff noted that the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation Digital Evidence Unit assisted in the case along with the Richland Center Police Department and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
