Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt has agreed to terms on a three-year, $57 million contract extension with a $20 million signing bonus, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on Monday.

The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the team hadn’t announced the deal. The Schultz Report first reported Wyatt’s extension.

Wyatt had six tackles for loss and four sacks in 10 games last season. His season ended after he broke his fibula and tore ankle ligaments during a Thanksgiving Day victory at Detroit, causing him to get carted off the field.

Even though he missed much of the season, Wyatt still ranked third on the team in sacks and tied for fourth in tackles for loss.

“I know I’ve got a lot more in the tank,” Wyatt said at the end of last season. “I feel like I got a lot more in the tank than what I put out there this year or the past three years I had. I know I have a lot more and I feel like this injury right here really is going to help me get above this hump, just showing you all what I have.”

Wyatt has spent his entire NFL career with the Packers, who selected him out of Georgia with the 28th pick in the 2022 draft.

He has 16 sacks over his first four seasons. Wyatt has had at least four sacks each of the past three seasons.
