29-year-old Richland Center woman faces multiple charges after police chase through Richland and Grant Counties

RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. – Richland County authorities report that one person was arrested and is facing multiple charges after fleeing officers from several departments in two counties last weekend.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office said the incident began around 10:20 Sunday night when officers from the Richland Center Police Department were dispatched to a home on a report of domestic incident. The caller reported the 29-year-old Alexis Moen of Richland Center left that residence in a vehicle and was allegedly intoxicated.

Moen was later located Richland Center Police and Richland County Sheriff’s deputies and they attempted to stop Moen’s vehicle, but she then fled from officers. During the pursuit Moen stopped and a high risk stop was conducted. Moen then began fleeing again and while attempting to go around a squad car she crashed in to a parked car. The pursuit continued through the city of Richland Center until terminated by the Sheriff’s Office.

Information was provided to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office as she was known to frequent that area. Moen was located by the Boscobel Police Department and another pursuit was initiated. Moen was taken into custody by the Boscobel Police Department and Grant County Sheriff’s Office for charges within their county and multiple charges within Richland County. During a search of the vehicle items of drug paraphernalia were located.

Charges faces charges of misdemeanor bail jumping, operating after revocation, flee/elude law enforcement, hit and run, second degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of drug paraphernalia and numerous traffic violations.
