No one injured in three vehicle crash on State Highway 27 near Westby

WESTBY, Wis. – On Wednesday, March 26, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 27 and Saugstad Road, in the Town of Christina.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driven by Betty Stalsberg, 74, of rural Westby was traveling west and crossing State Highway 27 from County Road P to Saugstad Road, when her vehicle struck the left rear side of a vehicle traveling south on Highway 27, driven by Grant Smith, 23, also of Westby. The report goes on to say before the Stalsberg vehicle came to rest it struck third vehicle that was stopped on Saugstad Road and driven by Craig Buros, 51, of rural Westby.

The reports states all occupants were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported at the scene.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene were the Westby-Christiana Fire Department and the Westby Police Department.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
