Motorcycle ride to benefit Viroqua boy with complex medical needs

April 20, 2026

VIROQUA, Wis. — Community members across western Wisconsin are being asked to support nine-year-old Tucker Lovelace of Viroqua, a joyful and determined child living with 15q duplication syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, through a charity motorcycle ride raising funds for a specialized safety bed.

Tucker faces significant developmental delays, low muscle tone and multiple seizures every day as a result of his conditions. To manage his medical needs and ensure his safety, he relies on a Vagus nerve stimulator and a G-tube, while working daily with a dedicated team of therapists both at home and at school.

Despite his challenges, Tucker communicates using an eye-gaze board and enjoys listening to music and watching the television show Bluey.

To ensure Tucker can sleep safely, his family, along with Big Bikes for Little Tikes, is raising funds for a custom safety bed from Beds by George. The bed costs more than $15,000 and is not covered by insurance.

The specialized bed is designed specifically for children with seizure disorders and includes padded sides, safety rails and proper elevation to protect Tucker during seizures and prevent falls. For Tucker’s family, the bed represents not only essential protection but also peace of mind for his parents and his two siblings.

Community support is being sought through the Big Bikes for Little Tikes charity motorcycle ride, scheduled for Saturday, May 16.

The ride will leave from Great River Harley-Davidson and travel through the scenic Coulee Region, wrapping up at Features Sports Bar & Grill in Holmen. Registration includes a Big Bikes for Little Tikes T-shirt, a post-ride brat and chips, and opportunities to win door prizes.
