On Tuesday morning, March 17, 2026, at approximately 9:15 AM, the Sheriff's Office 911 Dispatch Center was notified of a single-vehicle crash on County Road Y, near Seas Branch Road, in the Town of Viroqua.

VIROQUA, Wis. – Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports on Tuesday morning, March 17, 2026, at approximately 9:15 AM, the Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center was notified of a single-vehicle crash on County Road Y, near Seas Branch Road, in the Town of Viroqua.

Helen M. Randazzo, age 23, of Richland Center, WI was operating a 2010 Dodge Charger and lost control in a curve.  The vehicle left the roadway, travelled down an embankment, and came to rest in the snow just short of striking a residential structure.

Randazzo was not wearing a seat belt, sustained injuries, and was transported to Vernon Health by Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene were the Viroqua Fire Department, Viroqua Emergency Medical Responders, and Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
