Vernon County man returned from Minnesota on felony warrants

Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports that Nathan Raymond Lee Mc Namer, 33, was transported to the Vernon County Jail on Friday morning, Jan. 2, 2026.  Mc Namer was being held at the Houston County Jail, in Caledonia, Minn. since his arrest on Dec. 29, 2025, pursuant to an arrest warrant authorized by Vernon County Circuit Court on March 6, 2023.

Mc Namer is facing a total of five charges, four felonies and one unclassified misdemeanor, in three cases, the earliest of which was filed on April 1, 2022.  Except for a Bail Hearing on Jan. 2, 2026, Mc Namer’s last appeared in Vernon County Circuit Court on December 7, 2022.

The charges inlcude:

1) Take and Drive Vehicle w/o Consent

2) Misappropriate ID Info – Obtain Money

3) Possession of Methamphetamine

4) Bail Jumping-Felony

5) Possess Drug Paraphernalia

The Sheriff’s Office states a charge is merely an accusation.  Nathan Mc Namer is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Sheriff Torgerson would like to thank Houston County Sheriff Brian Swedberg and his staff for their assistance.  Mc Namer waived formal extradition proceedings.  He is currently being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $1,000 cash bond.  He is due back in court on January 7h at 1:00 p.m.
