VIROQUA, Wis. –– The McIntosh Memorial Library, in partnership with Vernon County Over 50, are offering a hands-on learning workshop to introduce users to the free library app Libby this Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 2:15 p.m. in the library lobby.
The program “Libby 101” is led by Kayla Mathson, Director of the Independence Wisconsin Public Library. Mathson will lead participants through the Libby app’s features, which include borrowing eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines from the local public library using a valid library card. Books download for offline reading, return automatically with no late fees, and can also be sent to Kindle devices.
“You have access to so many wonderful resources through your library, Libby is one of them that I use every day,” said Mathson. “If you aren’t using Libby yet, you’re missing out on thousands of free audiobooks (I listen to books in English and Spanish), current magazines, and features I haven’t even explored yet. Come learn with us!”
Program attendees may bring a device (laptop, tablet, phone) with them for individual assistance.
Information about this adult learning program is available online at www.mcintoshmemoriallibrary.org, like the “Viroqua library” page on Facebook or call 608-637-7151.
