McIntosh Memorial Library in Viroqua announces formation of chess club

VIROQUA, Wis. – The McIntosh Memorial Library in Viroqua announced the formation of an all-ages Chess Club this week. The library says the offering comes in response to numerous patron requests for a club.

Chess will be offered on Wednesdays from November 1 – December 13 from 4:00pm-6:00pm in the adult department. All ages and levels of experience are welcome to participate. Playing instructions will be provided by Chess Coach Tim Jenkins and other experienced chess players.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own board and materials with them. Registration is highly encouraged but drop-ins are welcome. Register by stopping by the library or calling (608) 637-7151 extension 6.
