McIntosh Memorial Library Director attends national conference to learn how libraries can help reduce substance abuse

KANSAS CITY, Miss. – McIntosh Memorial Library Director Trina Erickson recently attended a two day conference in Kansas City, Miss. titled, “Libraries Advancing Community Learning.” Erickson applied for and was selected to attend the conference to learn how libraries can support the reduction of substance use in communities.

The McIntosh Memorial Library is a recent recipient of a $25,000 grant from the Vernon County Opioid Prevention and Abatement Steering Committee. Part of the grant is being used to fund the development of a community resource center inside the library.
