McIntosh Library offers workshop on perennials in final “Mocktails in the Mulch” gardening series

Sept. 7, 2026

The third and final installment of the McIntosh Memorial Library’s Mocktails in the Mulch Gardening Series will focus on perennials this Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the library courtyard.  In case of inclement weather, the program will be cancelled.

Denise Edmunds is a Master Naturalist-in-training and is part of this Wednesday’s final Mocktails in the Mulch series at McIntosh Memorial Library.

Led by Wisconsin Master Gardener, Caleb DeWitt, and Master Naturalist in Training, Denise Edmunds, participants will learn about making divisions of perennials in the fall and fall garden prep.  All participants will receive a free division of Karl Forester Grass and signature mocktails sponsored by Springfire Learning Farm.

Wisconsin Master Gardener Caleb DeWitt is part of this Wednesday’s final Mocktails in the Mulch series at McIntosh Memorial Library.

“The garden is an exciting place right now, we’re all loaded up with zucchini, picking little cherry tomatoes every day, and we might as well add to the fun by enjoying music and mocktails together, too,” said Denise Edmunds. “Join your fellow gardeners, beginners, and alumni alike, for this fun outdoor activity.”

Materials for this adult event are limited so registration is required.  Register for the program by visiting the library website at www.mcintoshmemoriallibrary.org.  Further information can be found on the “Viroqua library” Facebook page or by calling the library at 608-637-7151.
