Lyndon Station man hospitalized after rollover crash in the La Farge area

LA FARGE, Wis. – The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office reports that on September 19 at approximately 4:30 p.m. the Vernon County Dispatch Center received a report of a one vehicle accident that occurred on State Highway 82, just west of County Road A, in the town of Union.

Upon arrival on scene, the La Farge Area Fire Department and the La Farge Ambulance Service were able to identify the driver as William Ruiz, 66, of Lyndon Station. Ruiz reported minor injuries and was transported to Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro for treatment.

Deputies were able to determine that Ruiz was traveling east on State Highway 82 when he crossed the center line and left the roadway while failing to negotiate a turn. The vehicle then overturned several times coming to a rest on its wheels.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office on scene were the La Farge Fire Department, La Farge EMS, and Peterson’s Towing Services.
