One person injured in Readstown accident

READSTOWN, Wis. – The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday, October 26, at 1:30 p.m., the Vernon County 9-1-1 Dispatch Center was notified of a two vehicle accident on US Highway 14 at the intersection of County Road X, in the Town of Kickapoo.

According to the Sheriff’s Office Kaiden Gander, 18, of Readstown was traveling east on US Highway 14. Toby Skov, 53, of Viola was attempting to cross US Highway 14 from Church Road to County Road X. Skov did not see the Gander vehicle and they collided. A passenger in the Gander vehicle, Terrie Gander, 61, of Lone Rock was transported by Readstown Ambulance to Vernon Memorial Healthcare for non-life threatening injuries. Two other passengers in the Gander vehicle were not injured.

All parties were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
