Local realtor helps fund library ukelele program

McIntosh Memorial Library to provide Youth Ukulele Lessons

VIROQUA, Wis. – The McIntosh Memorial Library in partnership with Viroqua Musician Greg Leighton are pleased to announce the return of beginning Ukulele Lessons for youth. Thanks to a generous donation from Hall Realty, group lessons will be offered on Tuesday and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. inside the library program room for youth between ages 8 and 12. Lessons will begin on Thursday, October 17, and conclude on Thursday, November 16.

Lessons will include instruction on how to strum, chords, and eventually playing songs. All students will participate in a recital at the conclusion of the nine lessons. Ukuleles will be provided to all participants and may be checked out from the library for home practice.

Registration for lessons is required by stopping by or contacting the library at 608-637-7151 x 6
