La Farge man hospitalized after crashing vehicle into home in the Hillsboro area

HILLSBORO, Wis. – The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Tuesday, December 5 at 6:00 .a.m, the Vernon County Dispatch was notified of a crash on County Road V, near Bird Lane, in the Town of Union.

Vernon County deputies responded along with the Hillsboro Fire Department and the Hillsboro Ambulance Serevice. Upon arrival at the scene, it was determined that a vehicle operated by Joshua D. Johnson, 29, of LaFarge, WI, was traveling east on County Road V. The report goes on to say Johnson’s vehicle left the roadway while negotiating a curve. The vehicle then traveled through a field and struck a garage at a residence.

Johnson was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro by Hillsboro Ambulance with serious injuries. Substantial damage was caused to the garage and to a vehicle parked inside it. This crash remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
