La Farge man arrested after setting off bank alarm in Coon Valley

COON VALLEY, Wis. – Coon Valley Police say a 20-year -old La Farge man was arrested after setting off a bank alarm in the Village of Coon Valley on Tuesday, March 4.

A police report on the incident states officers responded to the alarm and made contacted an intoxicated man who was acting unusual and in a disorderly manner. Officers identified the man as David Curry of La Farge, Wis. While investigating officers were also made aware that the La Crosse Police Department was trying to locate Mr. Curry’s vehicle for a hit and run incident.

An investigation led to Mr. Curry’s arrest by Coon Valley Police and he was booked at the Vernon County Detention Center for operating while intoxicated. In addition, charges of disorderly conduct, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia are being referred to the Vernon County District Attorney.

The Coon Valley Police Department expressed their gratitude to the Vernon County Sheriff’s dispatchers and Deputy Kammel for their assistance. The Department also gives credit to the bank staff for their superb handling of the situation.
