Jackson County corrections officer arrested for domestic incident

JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a county corrections officer was arrested by Trempealeau County anchorites following a report of a domestic incident on Sunday.

A Jackson County Sheriff’s report states that on Sunday, July 20, the Jackson County Communications Center received a phone call from a female regarding a possible domestic related incident in progress involving her fiancé. According to a press release, while en route to that call it was discovered that the male subject is currently a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office employee working as a corrections officer. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office requested immediate assistance from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office due to the conflict of interest.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office arrested the subject, 23-year-old Christopher Loecken. He was transported to the Trempealeau County Jail and charged with domestic related battery, strangulation, and disorderly conduct.

Loecken has been placed on administrative leave pending criminal investigation.
