VERNON COUNTY, Wis. – A Galesburg, Ill. man suffered serious injuries after losing control of his motorcycle on State Highway 35 on Sunday morning.
According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Johnathan Tomlinson, 39, was traveling south on State Highway 35 just south of Spring Coulee Raod around 9:50 Sunday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle. A witness stated it appeared he was loosing his ballcap just prior to losing control of the motorcycle. There were tire impressions left on the roadway in excess of 300 feet prior to Johnathan being ejected from the bike.
Tomlinson was wearing sunglasses but did not have a helmet. He was transported by Tri-State Ambulance to Gundersen Health system with serious injuries, however, the Sherifff’s Office said they do not appear to be life threatening.
The southbound lane was shut down on State Highway 35 for approximately two hours.
