TOWN OF SCOTT, Wis. — A 30-year-old Illinois woman was arrested Saturday after a traffic stop in Crawford County led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, authorities said.
According to Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick, deputies conducted a traffic stop Sept. 26 on U.S. Highway 61 in the Town of Scott.
The driver was identified as Allison Beckman of East Moline, Illinois. During the stop, deputies observed signs of drug impairment, and Beckman later failed standardized field sobriety tests, the sheriff’s office said.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, authorities reported.
Beckman was arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail. She faces charges of operating a motor vehicle with a restricted controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The case remains under investigation.
As in all criminal cases, Beckman is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
