Habitat for Humanity to host annual Women Build in Stoddard and La Crosse

Feb. 8, 2025

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Habitat for Humanity of the Greater La Crosse invites women throughout the Coulee Region to volunteer for Women Build, a three-day opportunity to help build homes for a local family. This year, Women Build will take place on March 13, 14, and 15 at construction sites in Stoddard and on the North Side of La Crosse.

Women Build volunteers will play an important role in the lives of soon-to-be homeowners. A global Habitat for Humanity tradition since 1991, Women Build offers hands-on skill-building opportunities for women, who not only are underrepresented in the construction industry, but also face unique barriers when trying to access safe, affordable housing.

Volunteers may sign up for a full or half day. No construction experience is required. Habitat encourages volunteers to create a team of friends or family and volunteer together. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Sign up by February 18 to guarantee a t-shirt in your size.

All are welcome to participate in this day of service, learning, and team building. To learn more about Women Build and sign up to volunteer, visit https://www.habitatlacrosse.org/events/women-build/. Habitat thanks First Supply & Gerhards and WXOW News 19 for their support of this event.
