VIROQUA, Wis. – The Ridges & Rivers Book Festival was founded to promote reading, writing, creativity, and community by bringing readers and writers together for a stimulating exchange of ideas. This mission will be partially supported in 2025 by a $4,000 Opportunity Grant from Wisconsin Humanities and a JEM grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism.

The third annual Ridges & Rivers Book Festival will be held on April 26, 2025, in Viroqua and will feature an exciting slate of authors and presenters, a book fair, an art show, community readings, and children’s programming.
“Thanks to these grants, our generous individual and business donors, and countless volunteer hours, we are able to keep all events free and open to everyone,” said Richard Running, co-treasurer of the nonprofit sponsor of the festival, Ridges & Rivers Inc. “I’m looking forward to another great festival.”
The Ridges & Rivers Book Festival supports Wisconsin Humanities’ mission to strengthen our democracy through educational and cultural programs that build connections and understanding among people of all backgrounds and beliefs throughout the state, and it is grateful for the additional financial support of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
