Emplify Health in Hillsboro offers Safe Sitter classes through area schools

Emplify Health by Gundersen Hillsboro area is offering two Safe Sitter Classes to the community. The first class will be held at Royall School from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 13. The second class will be held at Wonewoc-Center School from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 27.

The Safe Sitter Class provides a comprehensive curriculum for grades 6 through 8 that covers crucial aspects of childcare, including first aid and CPR techniques, age-appropriate activities, basic child development, and behavior management. The class utilizes hands-on training that incorporates practical exercises, role-playing scenarios, and interactive discussions to provided participants with real-world experiences. From diaper changing to emergency response simulations, the students gain valuable skills that can be applied in their babysitting responsibilities.
