Emplify Health by Gundersen announces a new pharmacy is coming to Hillsboro

June 30, 2026

HILLSBORO, Wis. – Emplify Health by Gundersen Hillsboro is opening Gundersen Pharmacy on Monday, July 6, at its Lakeside building, 300 Water Ave., near the hospital campus. It’s the 13th pharmacy is the Emplify Health by Gundersen system.

“Opening this pharmacy is a great milestone, and I couldn’t be more proud of the team that made it happen,” said Emplify Health by Gundersen administrator Hannah Young. “Having a full-service Gundersen-quality pharmacy right here on campus provides a more integrated care service for our patients. That kind of seamless, connected care is exactly what we stand for. This isn’t just a new service; it’s a statement about our commitment to meeting patients where they are.”

The new space will allow for exceptional pharmacy services close to home for many patients and team members in the Hillsboro area. In addition to over-the-counter medicines like pain relievers, cold and flu remedies, daily vitamins and more, the pharmacy will offer prescription medicines and a dedicated space for injections.

The location will also feature a drive-thru for added convenience and a medication disposal box where unused and expired medicines can safely be returned and destroyed. Patients will also have the option to have prescriptions mailed to their home.

“We’re really excited to bring Gundersen Pharmacy services to Hillsboro,” says Michael Norder, lead pharmacist at Gundersen Pharmacy Hillsboro. “So much thought has gone into the design of the space to allow our pharmacy team to provide exceptional quality, safety and service.”

The pharmacy’s hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. You can reach the pharmacy by calling (608) 489-3302. Patients can have their existing prescriptions moved to the pharmacy starting July 6 by contacting their prescribing provider or the pharmacy.
