CASHTON, Wis. – Choose your own Adventure in the Embark Maple Woods near Cashton. Put your legs to the test on a 5K loop with the Last Person Standing course. Or explore the course at your own pace, enjoying Maple based snack stops and educational opportunities throughout the forest.
The Sap Run Scramble will take place at the Embark Maple Farm, 30904 Rognstad Ridge Road , Cashton on March 21. The farm will open at 11 .am. with the race starting at noon. The Last Person Standing sign up is $75 through March 13, and $90 the week of the event, and includes a wood fired finishline pizza and beverage, and lots of Embark Maple Energy.

Adult 5K Tour admission is $35 in advance, $40 day of, and includes pizza and beverage. Youth 5K admission is $10 in advance, $15 day of (Pizza and beverage not included), kids 10 and under are free. Details and registration can be found at www.embarkmaple.com/saprun
“Our forest is our source of Good Energy. These are the logging roads, deer trails and hillsides we traverse while making our Maple Syrup. We are excited to share the experience with folks who love getting out exploring!” says Embark co-founder Bree Breckel
The course is challenging yet accomplishable for most folks, from seasoned trail runners to families looking for a unique outdoor adventure. The Sap Run Scramble Foodie 5K is in its fifth year, and is expanding to include the Last Person Standing option for the first time this year.
“The Foodie 5K has been a hit, and we’ve had folks asking for more. The Last Person Standing format allows runners to push themselves, while remaining approachable.” says Breckel.
Embark Maple, formerly B&E’s Trees, is an adventurous maple farm in the Driftless region of Wisconsin. In addition to hosting farm events, they craft Maple Energy and Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup, available online and at local retailers.
