Ed Holahan’s radio show “The View From Here” is coming to the Arkadia: Center for Arts & Education, 401 E. Jefferson Street in Viroqua on Friday, Aug. 14 at 7 p.m.
Holahan, WDRT’s one-of-a-kind commentator about anything & everything, will be sharing his wit and wisdom live on stage at Arkadia. Holahan’s been delivering his unique 5-minute perspective and observations about the world and life to the WDRT-91.9fm listening audience on a weekly basis for the past 16 years, serving up a new essay every week.
Depending on the subject, Ed can be described as a keen observer of the passing scene, an incisive political commentator, a sardonic humorist in the tradition of Mark Twain, a masterful weaver of tall tales, or – sometimes – a lyrical commentator on the heartwarming, memorable moments of human existence.
“The View from Here” covers just about everything, from The Big Bang to Brussels sprouts, road trips to prairie winds. Listeners have found his commentary a special Friday morning treat they never miss. Ed will share a short list of his favorites with his Viroqua audience.
Admission is free, but there will be a freewill offering, with all proceeds supporting WDRT-Driftless Community Radio Station in Viroqua.
