Documentary film “Wine, Women, and Dementia” coming to Rivoli Theatre in November

Oct 24, 2024

The Aging & Disability Resource Centers (ADRC) of Vernon and La Crosse Counties are offering a free viewing of the documentary film “Wine, Women, and Dementia” on November 14, 2024, from 2:00-4:30 pm at the Rivoli Theatre, 117 4th St N, La Crosse WI.

“Wine, Women, and Dementia” tells the tale of dementia life through the lens of family caregivers who strive to accept the beauty and brutality, the hilarious and the horrific, for themselves and their loved ones living with dementia. It celebrates family caregivers while exploring themes of familial duty, perseverance, the power of surrender, the aftermath of healing, and, most importantly, how to honor life on the long road of death.

After watching the documentary, there will be an opportunity for discussion. The ADRC of Vernon County’s Transportation Program will offer Vernon County residents free rides to and from the theatre. Registration is required for both a ride and watching the free documentary. Please call the ADRC of Vernon County office at 608-637-5201.
