Dairyland Power Co-op employees take part in ‘Day of Service’ at six locations in three states


LA CROSSE, Wis. —Employees of Dairyland Power Cooperative and our member electric cooperatives will be completing six service projects on Wednesday, Oct. 2, throughout our service territory. Volunteers will be working from 9 a.m. until early afternoon.

Project locations are:

  • Beaver Creek Reserve | Fall Creek, Wis. – Brush clearing, trail maintenance,
    painting/staining, and splitting wood.
    (Participating co-ops: Dairyland Power, Eau Claire Energy, Dunn Energy, St. Croix Electric)
  • Gramercy Park | East Dubuque, Ill. – Brush clearing on the North Bluff of the park.
    (Participating co-ops: Dairyland Power, JCE Co-op)
  • Humane Society of Burnett County | Webster, Wis. – Upgrade cat rooms, painting, animal
    socialization/care, cleaning, etc.
    (Participating co-ops: Dairyland Power, Polk-Burnett Electric)
  • Kickapoo Valley Reserve | La Farge, Wis. – Trail work/invasive clearing, cleanup on
    Kickapoo River, additional prep for upcoming event (Participating co-ops: Dairyland Power,
    Vernon Electric)
  • Oxbow Park/Zollman Zoo | Byron, Minn. – Winterization, tree clean-up, wood
    splitting/stacking, shop cleaning/painting.
    (Participating co-ops: Dairyland Power, People’s Energy, MiEnergy)
  • Sackett Lake | Medford, Wis. – Painting, sealing floors, tree trimming, updating pavilion,
    parking lot work. (Participating co-ops: Dairyland Power, Taylor Electric, Jump River Electric)

More than 20 employees from Dairyland and 10 local electric cooperatives have volunteered to complete six service projects throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois
