Crawford County Sheriff’s Office reports traffic stop that led to arrest on multiple charges

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Wis. – On Wednesday, September 25, Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Shane Klemz , 40, of Richland Center, Wisconsin, in the Township of Bridgeport.

Prairie du Chein Police Department K9 Sheisty responded to the stop. K9 Sheisty alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. Law enforcement personnel searched the vehicle locating methamphetamine paraphernalia.

Klemz exhibited indicators of drug impairment, and he was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a restricted controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation violation.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department.
