The Coon Creek Trout Fest is back again this year with a slate of activities for all ages. Coon Creek Trout Fest is an annual event hosted by the village of Coon Valley, the Coon Valley Business Association, and Coulee Region Trout Unlimited. Organizers say that weather permitting, Trout Unlimited will stock Coon Creek in the park with rainbow trout. This youth angling event is open to all under the age of 18. Register at the CRTU tent for door prizes, for free bait, and to keep your fish on ice when you catch them.
TU members will assist kids in fishing for the day (weather permitting) and there will be door prizes for kids including fishing rods, tackle boxes, and other fishing-related prizes.
In addition to youth fishing, there will be other activities like fly casting and fly tying, a short presentation about conservation in the Coon Creek watershed.
