VIROQUA, Wis. – Viroqua Utilities has already started their Spring Hydrant Flushing program. The program began on Monday, April 28 and will be taking place on several more dates in the coming weeks.
Hydrant flushing will take place in the overnight hours on Friday, May 2, and Monday, May 5 – Friday, May 9, 2025. Flushing will begin at 11:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 a.m. daily.
The Eckhart Park water tower will be drained, cleaned and refilled starting on Monday, May 12 – Saturday, May 1.
This notice is to inform our customers this flushing, draining and refilling activity may temporarily cause a decrease in water pressure which may cause short-term discoloration in the water. This may also affect automatic flushing units and pressure sensitive equipment.
