Jan. 22nd, 2025

HILLSBORO, Wis. – – The City of Hillsboro is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Kaliber Properties LLC and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for the development of a new, multi-functional facility designed to meet the growing needs of the community. The approximately 5,000-square-foot facility will serve as both a childcare center and a senior center, addressing two critical services for residents. The project, made possible through a combination of private and public funding, marks a significant step forward in enhancing local resources for children and seniors alike.

“This is a milestone project for the City of Hillsboro, as it meets two pressing community needs:
quality childcare and support for our senior population, ” said Joshua Finch, Hillsboro City
Administrator. “The collaborative effort behind this initiative demonstrates the power of
partnerships in creating lasting, positive change in our community. “

Mayor Kubarski echoed these sentiments, stating, “We are committed to making Hillsboro a
great place for all generations. This facility not only addresses the shortage of childcare services
but also creates a space where our seniors can gather and remain active in the community. We
are thankful to Kaliber Properties LLC and St. Paul ‘s Lutheran Church for their dedication to this
vision.”

The facility will be designed to support intergenerational interaction, with plans to allocate a
portion of the space for a senior center. This initiative is part of Hillsboro’s long-term strategy to
enhance local amenities and foster community growth through strategic partnerships.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, which will play a key role in the operation of the facility, expressed
excitement about the project.

“After years of work by many different people, we are grateful for
the opportunity God has provided through this partnership to bring this project to fruition,” said
Pastor Jacob Limpen.

“This partnership allows us to further extend our works of service and support for the community, and we look forward to providing a nurturing environment for children and a welcoming space for seniors.”

The City of Hillsboro, Kaliber Properties LLC, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church are committed to
working closely together to ensure the successful development and operation of the facility.
Construction is expected to begin spring 2025.
