City of Hillsboro Administrator stepping down to take a position in Waupaca

HILLSBORO, Wis. – The City of Hillsboro announces the resignation of City Administrator Josh Finch, who has served in the role since 2021, has led the City through a period of strong progress, overseeing major infrastructure upgrades, community development initiatives, and long-range planning efforts.

In response to his resignation Mayor Kubarski expressed “It will be a great loss for us as a community. His dedication to the betterment of our community has made a lasting impact, and
while we are sad to see him go, we wish him nothing but continued success in the next chapter of his career. “

Reflecting on his tenure, Finch shared “It has been an honor to serve the residents of Hillsboro.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together and am truly thankful to Mayor Kubarski, the Hillsboro Common Council, and the community for their trust and support over the
last four years. This community has a bright future, and I am thankful to have played a pan in it. “
Finch’s last day will be June 13, 2025. He has accepted a new position as the City Administrator
for the City of Waupaca.

The process to identify and appoint the next City Administrator will begin shortly. Additional
information regarding the recruitment and transition timeline will be shared with the public as it
becomes available.
