Chess Club 65 begins Oct. 1 at McIntosh Memorial Library in Viroqua

The McIntosh Memorial Library of Viroqua will once again serve as the host location for Chess Club 65. Entering its third year Chess Club 65 is a weekly gathering for players of all ages and experiences to join at the library to play chess. Beginning Wednesday, October 1 chess will take place every Wednesday from 4:00pm-6:00pm in the adult department.

Led by experienced chess coaches Tim Jenkins and other skilled players, the Chess Club is a fantastic opportunity to learn, practice, and enjoy the game of chess. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, coaching will be available to help you enhance your skills and strategy.

Chess boards are provided by the library. However, due to the popularity of this activity participants are encouraged to bring boards with them if possible. Chess Club 65 is open to anyone age 12 years old and up. For more information visit www.mcintoshmemoriallibrary.org, like the “Viroqua Library” page on Facebook or call 608-637-7151 x 7.
