BOAZ, Wis. — A Richland County man was taken into custody early Monday morning following a multi-agency investigation into alleged possession of child pornography.

At approximately 6:38 a.m., deputies from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence located at 25399 Jefferson Street in the Village of Boaz. The warrant was issued in response to three CyberTips received by the department as part of its affiliation with the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce.

Don L. McCormick, 38, of Richland Center, was arrested on one count of possession of child pornography. The investigation was supported by the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation’s Digital Evidence Unit (DCI-DEU), Richland Center Police Department, Richland County District Attorney’s Office, and Richland EMS.

Sheriff Clay Porter confirmed the arrest and emphasized the collaborative effort among agencies to address crimes involving exploitation of minors.

McCormick remains in custody pending further proceedings.
