FERRYVILLE, Wis. – Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick is reporting a head-on crash along State Hwy 35 injured one person on Friday afternoon.

McCullick reports that on Friday afternoon, a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Janet Montour of St. Olaf, IA crossed the centerline, headed south, and struck a semi head-on near County Hwy C.

Montour was extracted from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. She was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the semi, 61-year-old Claude Moyers of Tennessee, escaped with no injuries, according to Sheriff McCullick.

Both vehicles suffered severe damage. The crash closed the highway for over three hours and remains under investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
