Viroqua man transported to the hospital as a result of single vehicle crash in town of Jefferson

Viroqua, Wis. – The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Sunday May 21 at 4:41 p.m., the Vernon County 911 dispatch center received a 911 call reporting a single vehicle crash on County Road XX, west of Boat Landing Rd in the town of Jefferson. According to the Shheriff’s Office 42-year-old Adam M. Call of Viroqua failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The Sheriff’s report states that Call’s vehicle entered the ditch and struck the embankment. Call was able to get himself out of the vehicle, but had minor non-life-threatening injuries. Call was treated and transported to Vernon Memorial Healthcare by Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance.

Assisting at the scene was the Viroqua Fire Department, Viroqua First Responders, Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance, and Sleepy Hollow Towing.

The reports states that seat belts were not used and alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
