Author who solo paddled the Mississippi River scheduled to read at Viroqua’s McIntosh Memorial Library

VIROQUA, Wis. – The McIntosh Memorial Library, in partnership with the Vernon County Over 50 Club, announced this week they will host author Bobbi Rathert for a presentation on her book “The Truth On Water: A Collection of True Stories of One Woman’s Risk, Discovery, and Survival”.

Join us Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 2:15 p.m. in the McIntosh Memorial Library Lobby. The author will talk about and read from her recently published book. Rathert will also host a question-and-answer session.

Rathert’s book follows her 650-mile solo kayak journey down the Mississippi River in 2022 at 68-years-old. The book is a collection of true stories from the river, other life ventures about growing up in Cresco, Iowa, and various life travels. Rathert’s book is available for purchase through Pearl Street Books who will be selling at the event, followed by a book signing.
