65-year-old man killed in Vernon County tractor accident

VERNON COUNTY, Wis. – Vernon County authorities are reporting that 65-year-old Jimmy L. Kennedy from Wind Lake Wis. was killed on Monday when a tractor he was operating rolled on top of him.

According to a report from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office the incident happened on a logging road on private property at an address located in the town of Kickapoo. Responding personnel found that Kennedy had been operating a medium sized garden tractor alone on the property on a logging road when the tractor overturned, lodging Kennedy underneath the tractor.

Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene by the Vernon County Coroner’s Office.

Responding agencies consisted of the Viola Fire Department, Readstown Fire Department, Kickapoo Valley Rescue Squad Ambulance Service, the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, and the Vernon County Coroner’s Office.
