VIROQUA, Wis. — 49-year-old Corey Simonson of Westby is facing burglary charges after Viroqua Police allege he drove a vehicle into the front of a Viroqua business, and then drove off.

According to the Viroqua Police Department, on Sunday, Dec. 22 they received an alarm alert from Smoke World Vape located on Main Street-State Highway 14. The alarm company advised that an individual just drove a red Mini-Cooper into the front door, and then made entry into the building before driving north on State Highway 14.
The Westby Police Department located the vehicle and detained the driver until Viroqua Police Department arrived. Corey D Simonson, age 49, of Westby/Madison was arrested for Burglary to a building or dwelling and criminal damage to property.
Charges have been filed with the Vernon County District Attorney’ s Office at this time. Assisting Viroqua Police Department with the Burglary was Westby Police Department, Vernon County Sheriff’ s Department, and George’s Towing.
