UPDATE: Rick Alexander appeared in Vernon County Circuit Court on August 11th and a $1,000.00 cash bond was ordered. Alexander posted bond and was released on August 11th at approximately 5:00 PM. He is due back in court August 22nd, at 1:00 PM.

VIROQUA, Wis. – Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson says 42-year-old Rick Lee Alexander of rural Viroqua was arrested on Thursday, August 10, at about 3:00 p.m. as part of an ongoing investigation. Alexander was taken into custody without incident at a location on Mahoney Road, rural Viroqua, WI, in the town of Viroqua. Alexander was transported to the Vernon County Detention Center and booked for felony bail Jumping and felon in possession of a firearm.
The Sheriff’s Office says a bail hearing will be scheduled and formal charges will be sought through Vernon County District Attorney Angela Palmer-Fisher.
It is not clear what that ongoing investigation pertains to but Sheriff Torgerson says the investigation continues by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
