26-year-old Hillsboro man injured in one vehicle crash

HILLSBORO Wis. – The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office reports that on September 27th, at approximately 6:13 p.m., the 911 Dispatch Center received a call reporting a car accident on State Highway 82 near Urban Road. When deputies arrived on scene the driver was identified as Jackson Valero, 26, of Hillsboro.

The Sheriff’s Office states that Valero reported falling asleep while driving, causing him to leave the roadway. Valero’s vehicle traveled down a slight embankment where it struck a barbed wire fence. The vehicle continued and eventually struck a tree.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office on scene were the Hillsboro Fire Department, Hillsboro EMS, and Peterson’s Towing.
