18-year-old Gays Mills man suffers minor injuries in Bell Center rollover crash

BELL CENTER, Wis. – The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office reports that 18-year-old Keith Bankes of Gays Mills suffered minor injuries as the result of a rollover crash on Friday. According to the Sheriff’s Office at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle rollover traffic crash on State Highway 131 in the Village of Bell Center.

According to the Sheriff’s Office Bankes, of Gays Mills, was operating a pickup truck southbound on State Highway 131 when he lost control, traveled off the roadway, and overturned multiple times. Bankes sustained minor injuries, and the pickup truck was a total loss. Bankes was cited for inattentive driving, operating left of center, and no insurance. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
