No injuries when car lands in box culvert near Viroqua

VIROQUA, Wis. – Snow covered roads appear to be the cause of vehicle standing on its head in a box culvert Wednesday morning just outside of Viroqua. The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 14 around 10:30 Wednesday morning.

According to the Sheriff’s report 44-year-old Jared Joseph Domenget of Viroqua was traveling north on State Highway 14 and encountered snow or slush. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and came to rest in a concrete box culvert structure.

Sheriff Torgerson would like to thank the Viroqua Police Department for a quick response. Also responding to the scene with the Sheriff’s Office were the Viroqua Fire Department, Viroqua Emergency Medical Responders, Vernon County Emergency Management, and the Vernon County Highway Department.
